Supporter Spotlight: Paul

Did you know, there are just over 9,000 Trustees in the UK?

Paul has been a Trustee of New Life for five years.  He is a lifelong friend of the CEO and Founder, Trevor and was by Trevor's side during the sad tragedy in 1995 when Trevor's twin boys Joshua and Samuel were born at 24 weeks.

'Visiting the hospital when the twins were born' said Paul, 'had a profound effect on me.  Seeing the tragedy unfold made me determined to do as much as I possibly could to help raise money to help other premature babies.'

As a Trustee, Paul has supported the charity in so many ways attending events, assisting with printed materials, and supporting Trevor in the growth of the charity and its impact on the community. Paul's favourite event on the annual calendar is the Charity Golf Day in Newbury.  It must not go unmentioned that Paul has attended every single one of these golf days in Newbury. The golf days raise a huge amount of money and the spaces are always filled quickly when businesses and friends come together to form teams of four.  There are always some teams that love to dress up to a theme. It goes without saying that Paul looked rather fetching one year in his orange satin outfit pictured above!

'One of the charity's greatest strengths,' says Paul, 'is the people it pulls together and the sporting fundraising events it organises every year.  There is something for everyone.  It has been a privilege to play my part in supporting Trev and the work he does. I am looking forward to helping the charity reach the £2m mark!'
