Launching the 'Magic Million' campaign

We have launched our ‘Magic Million’ campaign.  We hope to reach the £1m total by the end of 2021.

 ‘In a nutshell’ says CEO Trevor Goodall, ‘that will equate to our £1m target covering less than 50p towards equipment for every premature baby born in the UK since I set up the charity. Behind New Life, there is a battery of enthusiastic supporters eager to challenge themselves physically and mentally to raise as much money as possible towards neonatal lifesaving equipment.  The support never ceases to amaze me.’ 

We have raised almost £900,000 in sponsorship and donations since 1995 which it then awards as grants to neonatal units across the South of England and throughout the UK.  Without this specialist equipment, many premature babies would not receive the care and start in life that they so desperately need.

We need all the help we can get to reach the Magic Million and it has hit the ground running as we come out of COVID with a full list of planned events, ideas for fundraising, and corporate sponsorship.  We hope to find a well-known public figure to come on board as Ambassador to help raise awareness and to ensure the Magic Million campaign succeeds.
